Horseshoe Falls

When time allows we like to dive up to Niagara Falls for lunch.  It is a nice day trip, we leave about 8am and have breakfast on the way, lunch at the falls and supper the way home. Both photos here were taken from our table at the restaurant.

Skylon tower

On the left is the Skylon tower taken from the restaurant balcony -- in the middle is the top of the tower taken from the same position, but with the full zoom of the Sony digital camera. I really like that camera. It has lots of features I used to have with my professional equipment. 

Here are two pictures of the Maid of the Mist boat. Both taken through the heavy mist of the falls. The shot on the far right shows the passengers getting wet despite the rain gear.

On the way home we stopped at a seafood place, right on the edge of Lake Erie.  This seagull was waiting for a handout and seemed to like having his picture taken. On the right is sundown on the lake. The perfect end to a nice day trip.
