Radio Mountain was given its name by my late son, Mike. When he was about 10 years old, he looked at the stack of radios in the "shack" and said, "... that looks like a mountain of radios". It has been called Radio Mountain ever since. When I would get mail, my wife would give it to one of the children and say, "put it by Radio Mountain, where your dad can find it".
Mike died in a hit-skip accident when he was 18 in 1985. So the station callsign was applied for under gate 1 of the vanity call system. Obviously the WS in the call are my initials and the RM stands for Radio Mountain.
So now you know the "rest of the story". 73 and thanks for reading it.
